PET PURCHASE AGREEMENT:

DESCRIPTION OF CAT(S) OR KITTEN(S):

SELLER AGREES TO:

• have the kitten inoculated against feline panleukopenia, feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, chlamydia psittaci,
  
  
• if at least [3 or 4, as applicable] months of age at time of transfer, have the kitten inoculated against rabies, at buyer's expense ($12 per kitten),
  
  
• have the kitten treated for round worms at least twice prior to delivery,
  
  
• have the kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian, who will issue certificates of health and of vaccination,
  
  
• if requested by the buyer, have a Pet quality kitten altered at buyer's expense prior to shipment; although the seller does not recommend alteration before the kitten is 6 months of age,
  
  
• provide documentation necessary to register a
  • Breed quality kitten with TICA and/or CFA, as applicable, which will allow buyer to purchase a pedigree from the applicable organization
  • Show quality kitten with TICA and/or CFA, as applicable (a Show quality kitten will be registered as NOT FOR BREEDING)
  • Pet quality kitten with TICA and/or CFA, as applicable (a Pet quality kitten will be registered as NOT FOR BREEDING and NOT FOR SHOW),
  
  
  
• transfer the kitten to a reputable shipping agent only upon receipt of this document, signed by both buyer and seller, and upon receipt of the agreed upon sum of money.
  
  

SELLER'S GUARANTEE:

The seller guarantees the health and the quality of the kitten at the time of sale. Note that SacredSpirit Cattery has been certified free of FeLV and FIV, using the latest testing technologies available. If the buyer has other cats already in the household, the seller strongly recommends that the buyer have those cats tested as soon as possible. Kittens are especially susceptible to viral infection and the seller cannot maintain any guarantee against such if the kitten enters a home that is already infected.

If the kitten is designated above as Breed and/or Show quality, the seller guarantees that the kitten was free of any conspicuous genetic defects at the time of sale, but does not carry any responsibility for later development of the animal or for his or her success or failure in exhibitions.

If the kitten succumbs within the first year of life to an illness that is determined by a licensed veterinarian, based on an officially documented necropsy, to be genetic in nature, the seller will work with the buyer to select a replacement kitten of the same designated quality (e.g., pet). The buyer will pay only the cost for shipping the replacement kitten.

All cats at SacredSpirit Cattery have been checked for GM2 and PKD, as applicable, using the latest testing technologies available.

The seller guarantees that all cats and kittens are free of ringworm.

BUYER AGREES TO:

• if less than [3 or 4, as applicable] months of age at time of transfer, have the kitten inoculated against rabies,
  
  
• have a PET quality kitten, if so designated above, spayed or neutered when the kitten is from 6 to 8 months of age,
  
  
• take a Show quality kitten to exhibition(s) sponsored by the applicable registry and its affiliate clubs,
  
  
• provide adequate nutrition,
  
  
• provide clean, fresh water at all times,
  
  
• provide veterinary care when necessary,
  
  
• pay a non-refundable deposit of $150 if the kitten is to be held on Reserve for more than two weeks prior to shipment or, otherwise, pay a non-refundable fee of 30% of the cost of the kitten to defray all administrative costs associated with the purchase,
  
  
• pay all fees for shipping and delivery, including carrier, veterinary examination and veterinary health certificate, and
  
  
• if, for any reason, the buyer chooses to transfer the animal to anotyher person, notify the seller of the name, address and phone number of the new owner.
  
  

BUYER AGREES NOT TO:

• breed the kitten, if designated above as Pet or Show quality,
  
  
• sell or give the kitten to any research facility, shelter, pound, or pet store,
  
  
• permit the kitten to roam freely outside, or
  
  
• declaw, neglect, or otherwise abuse the kitten.
