PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF A KITTEN

Before we ship any kitten, he or she will have been weaned, inoculated against the usual feline diseases, including rabies if age appropriate, examined by a licensed veterinarian, and treated for round worms at least twice. Certificates of inoculation and health will accompany the kitten.

We will ship a kitten only after the signing of a valid contract between buyer and seller and after receipt of the funds dictated by that contract, including shipping costs. We will not ship a kitten as air cargo before he or she is 12 weeks old. However, local pick up or delivery can be made earlier by special arrangement.

DEPOSIT POLICY

A deposit of $150 can be used to reserve a pet quality kitten younger than 4 months old. On older kittens, the deposit will be 30% of the cost of the kitten. For a kitten with breeding rights, the deposit is $300. If, for ANY reason, the buyer cancels the transaction, then the deposit will NOT be refunded. If, for some reason, we are not able to deliver the chosen kitten to the buyer, and the buyer decides neither to take another available kitten, nor to wait for the birth of a kitten meeting their requirements, then the deposit will returned in full.

A deposit of $50 can be used to reserve a kitten from a future litter. Again, that deposit is NOT refundable if, for ANY reason, the buyer cancels the transaction. However, if the buyer chooses to wait and we are unable to satisfy their request within one year of the deposit, the buyer has the choice to take another available kitten, continue waiting or request a full refund of the deposit. For kittens from future litters, please provide as much information as possible regarding your first and second choices of gender and color (for example, "first choice: brown male; second choice: chocolate male or brown female).

A TYPICAL PURCHASE

1. You tell us which kitten most interests you by sending an e-mail to burmese@sacredspirit.ru.

2. We reply to your e-mail and discuss whether or not an advance deposit will be required.

3. After a deposit or payment in full has been received, we list the kitten on our site as Reserved.

4. You provide us with your name, address and phone number, as you want them to appear on the contract.

5. We prepare a contract, sign it, convert it to a pdf format and send it to you as an e-mail attachment.

6. You review the contract and, if you have no comments, sign, scan and fax it back to us (208-745-7719, but please notify in advance).

7. We work with you to arrange for payment.
   • PayPal is our best and easiest tool for receiving payments. We have two types of accounts:
     • If you currently have a PayPal account and can simply transfer funds from your account to ours, use our e-mail address burmese@sacredspirit.ru to send to our Personal account. This service is free.

     • If you want to use a credit card, simply click on the button below (fee = 2.9% of payment + $0.30).

     
   • You can use Western Union or a bank wire transfer, but both of those are more expensive.

   • One buyer sent a Certified Check ($10 fee) by Registered Mail ($5 fee), although in the end it would have taken less time and money to set up a free validated PayPal account.

   • We can always accept a personal check, but experience has taught us that we will need to wait for the check to clear two banks (yours and ours) before we can ship.

8. We schedule an appointment with our veterinarian for an examination, which will result in a health certificate (good for 10 days) and an acclimation certificate (permitting the kitten to travel when ground temperatures are between 20F and 45F).

9. We contact the airline and arrange for shipment.

10. We ship, you receive and everyone is happy!
